Academic UIL 2021 - 2022
University Interscholastic League (UIL)
UIL stands for University Interscholastic League, an organization that governs all athletic and academic contests in the state of Texas. UIL academic programs are designed to support basic curriculum and allow the students to apply what they learn in the classroom. Students do this by selecting a contest(s) to enter, spend a couple of months practicing the concepts weekly under the supervision of a teacher/coach (before or after school), and then compete at 1-2 meets. The meets will be held on the days below:
Invitational
December 10: Evans - Speaking & Writing
December 11: Faubion - all other events
District
February 25: Johnson - Speaking & Writing
February 26: Cockrill - all other events
All students, in all grades, are encouraged to participate! They can be in one or more events! There will be a UIL Parent Night for you and your student to sign up, ask questions, meet the coaches, etc.! Date and time coming soon!
